National CPRE 'Hedgerow Heroes' campaign report published
With key contribution from CPRE Hampshire.
National CPRE have published a new report on the collective work of the charity on the ‘Hedgerow Heroes’ initiative. Hedgerows are a core priority for CPRE Hampshire due to the key role and huge benefits they provide to the countryside. The report provides a chance to reflect on this work and see what national and other county branches of CPRE have been working on.
As part of the overall second phase of the project, over 18,000m of hedges have been planted or used to ‘gap up’, with over 8000m of hedgerow restored, with the help of over 1000 volunteers. At CPRE Hampshire we are delighted with the work achieved over this period and it’s great to see this success reflected in the report.
