The cheque for a generous £500, was presented by Clodagh O’Reilly, Partner & Community Activator, at Waitrose in Winchester.

Natalie Hargreaves, the CPRE Hampshire Hedgerow Heroes Project Co-ordinator, was delighted to receive the donation. “This will go a long way to the work we’re doing with Bransgore Primary School to help the children understand the role hedges play in climate change and their value to local wildlife. The children have pledged to be Hedgerow Heroes and we certainly think the Waitrose Winchester Partners should consider themselves to be too.”

The money was raised through the Waitrose ‘Give a Little Local Love’, voted for by Partners.
