Hedgerow Season is Here!

Hedgerows are a vital part of our countryside, and this season is the perfect time to get involved in caring for them.

From hands-on hedgerow planting days to inspiring online talks, there’s something for everyone to enjoy and learn. Whether you want to roll up your sleeves outdoors or join us virtually from home, your involvement helps protect wildlife, boost biodiversity and restore Hampshire’s hedgerows, one tree at a time.

Check out our upcoming events and find your way to make a difference this winter!

Hedgetines Day

Saturday 21st February, Romsey

Join us for ‘Hedgentines Day’, a soon-to-be national holiday where we celebrate our love for hedges by planting hedges.

This event is for young people aged 18-30 years who want to make a difference by creating green spaces and restoring nature in Hampshire. No prior experience is necessary – just bring your enthusiasm and we’ll provide the tools and the learning.

This event is a partnership project with CPRE Hampshire as part of CPRE’s Hedgerow Heroes project and Youngwilders.

'We are keen cyclists and like to get out to enjoy the local countryside around Winchester. It is great to get involved with the Hampshire Hedge initiative to connect and improve all the wildlife corridors on our doorstep.’'
