Hedgefest

Friday 20th February 2026

Join us at the beautiful Broadlands Estate for our very own Hedgefest! This special event will feature a friendly hedge-laying challenge, alongside engaging talks, hands-on activities and delicious hot food. It’s the perfect opportunity to enjoy an exciting and informative day in the heart of Hampshire’s countryside.

Hedgefest celebrates two major milestones: CPRE’s centenary and the completion of the Hampshire Hedge project which aims to improve connectivity between Hampshire’s two National Parks. Working with schools, landowners, and local communities, the project has raised awareness of the vital role hedgerows play for both people and nature, while promoting best practices in hedgerow management.

No experience needed, just enthusiasm and a love for the outdoors!

'We are keen cyclists and like to get out to enjoy the local countryside around Winchester. It is great to get involved with the Hampshire Hedge initiative to connect and improve all the wildlife corridors on our doorstep.’'
