New trustee opportunities at CPRE Hampshire, the countryside charity

8th September 2020

CPRE Hampshire, the countryside charity is seeking three new trustees to replace those who are nearing the end of their term. Each of the new trustees will join the Board of Trustees and will have specific responsibility for one of three key areas – fundraising, PR and marketing, and Secretary to the Board.

CPRE Hampshire is a small local charity based in Winchester with district groups across the county. It is part of the CPRE countryside charity network, which has a local group in every county. CPRE Hampshire champions issues such as a more effective planning system that benefits local people, biodiversity, rural affordable housing and countryside access for all.

Chair of CPRE Hampshire, Dee Haas says: ‘We’re passionate about making the countryside in Hampshire a better place for everyone to enjoy. By volunteering with us you’ll be helping to find positive solutions for the many issues facing the countryside.

By applying your skills and experience you can make a real difference and be a central part of a friendly local charity. We welcome applications from people at university or in the early years of their career as we’re keen to broaden our membership.

As we come out of lockdown, we need to become more active again and raise our voice in support of the causes we believe in. We’re looking to our new trustees to strengthen our team, help raise awareness of our activities, build our brand, develop our strategic campaigning capability and make our financial base more sustainable.’

Trustees are all volunteers and are appointed in the first place for three years. They are eligible for re-election, subject to a total of nine years.

For further information on the opportunities and how to apply please see the information pack: CPRE Hampshire Trustee Recruitment Information Pack or contact Boyd McCleary at boydm@cprehampshire.org.uk. The closing date for applications is 15th October.
