Your countryside needs you - new Operations Manager role for countryside charity
CPRE Hampshire are currently looking for an Operations Manager to take on this newly created role for the local countryside charity.
The charity is passionate about the countryside and works hard for a thriving and sustainable rural landscape and economy for today, and for generations to come. With many new challenges on countryside resources, there come many opportunities to inform, educate and influence key decisions being made about the county in which we live, work and cherish.
In Hampshire we are fortunate to have two National Parks, three areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty, rare chalk streams of international renown, areas designated for nature conservation and stretches of protected coastline. We have a lot to be proud of. But there are many challenges too, including population growth, climate change, pressures to grow the economy and to build more houses.
This newly created post, reporting to the Board of Trustees, will play a key role in the running of the charity. As well as managing a small team, the Operations Manager will be responsible for building relationships with key stakeholders, developing a fundraising strategy and working to raise the profile of the charity through a range of communications activities.
Boyd McCleary, Vice Chair of CPRE Hampshire, explains: “The charity has a small and welcoming team of trustees and staff and we are really looking for someone who can share our commitment to the countryside. We have a solid foundation of work already undertaken and many achievements to build on. It is a great opportunity for the right person to come in and make further headway, drawing on their own skills, experience and passion.”
