Countryside Awards

Rooted in a deep love of place, nature, and the countryside, the CPRE Hampshire Countryside Awards celebrate the exceptional efforts of individuals, projects, and campaigns that support our mission: to create a thriving, beautiful countryside for everyone to enjoy.

This year’s awards bring exciting new opportunities – including brand-new categories, the chance to win prize money, and the possibility of national recognition through the CPRE National Awards.

The awards officially open at the CPRE Hampshire AGM on 7th June 2025, with nominations accepted until the end of September. Individuals, community groups, and organisations are encouraged to enter their projects via the CPRE Hampshire website.

What’s New in 2025?

This year introduces new award categories designed to reflect the evolving needs of the Hampshire countryside:

• Best Housing Solution Award – for sustainable, community-focused developments.
• Green and Blue Spaces Award – recognising projects that protect and enhance natural habitats.
• Countryside Changemaker Award – shining a spotlight on individuals who make a real difference to the countryside, including a special focus on under-25s.
• Best Access to the Countryside Award – for initiatives improving access to countryside spaces for all.

Each category winner will receive £100 to support their ongoing work and will be automatically entered into the Hampshire Choice Award, a public vote taking place in November.

Go National

For the first time ever, all Hampshire winners will also be nominated for the CPRE National Awards, launching in December 2025 as part of CPRE’s centenary celebrations. This is a unique opportunity to gain national recognition and showcase Hampshire’s countryside champions on a bigger stage.

• October – Judging period
• November – Public voting for Hampshire Choice Award
• December – Awards Ceremony and Film Show + National nominations
