Countryside Awards 2025

Rooted in a deep love of place, nature, and the countryside, the CPRE Hampshire Countryside Awards celebrate the exceptional efforts of individuals, projects, and campaigns who support our mission to create a thriving, beautiful countryside for everyone to enjoy.

At CPRE Hampshire, we’re passionate about protecting and promoting countryside and green spaces that are open to all, rich in wildlife, and vital in tackling the climate emergency.

That’s why we run the CPRE Hampshire Countryside Awards – to say thank you and well done to the amazing people and projects that are helping to protect and improve our countryside.

These awards are a chance to shine a light on the hard work happening across Hampshire. From community gardens and wildlife projects to green businesses and local campaigns – we want to hear about them all!

Award Categories

The Best Housing Solution Award

We’re celebrating homes that go beyond bricks and mortar – developments that are thoughtfully designed, environmentally responsible, and deeply rooted in local needs.

Green and Blue Spaces Award

This category celebrates projects that enhance spaces such woodlands, meadows, parks, and community gardens (green spaces), to rivers, ponds, lakes, wetlands, and coastal areas (blue spaces).

Countryside Changemaker Award

Celebrating individuals who are making a real difference in the Hampshire countryside – through action, advocacy, and inspiration. Includes special recognition for rising stars under the age of 25.

Best Access to the Countryside Award

This award recognises outstanding efforts to make the countryside more accessible, inclusive, and welcoming - especially in the places closest to where people live.

Our Award Winners Will Be Entered Into

Hampshire Choice Award

Each of our award winners will be automatically nominated for the Hampshire Choice Award - a special award decided entirely by public vote and a chance to win £500.

CPRE National Centenary Awards

Winners will be entered into the CPRE National Awards, held as part of the CPRE’s Centenary celebrations. This is a unique opportunity to gain national recognition.

How you can take part

From 7th June until 29th September 2025, you’ll be able to visit our website to nominate a project that’s making a real difference in Hampshire’s countryside and communities. Whether it’s a local green space, a community initiative, or a nature-friendly business – if it’s helping the countryside thrive, we want to hear about it!

How to enter is simple:
Head to our website, choose the right category, fill in a few details about the project, and upload some photos to bring it to life.

What happens next?

October – Our expert panel will judge the entries.
November – The public will get to vote for their favourite in the Hampshire Choice Award.
December – Winners will be celebrated at our Awards Ceremony and Film Show.
