Press Release: 9th November 2011
Hampshire's rural economy is top priority for new partnership
As two organisations sharing a common commitment to the prosperity and integrity of Hampshire, county food group Hampshire Fare and CPRE Hampshire have formalised a strategic partnership to work together.
A community interest company, Hampshire Fare represents around 200 members ranging from food and drink producers to hospitality businesses that serve or sell local produce, such as restaurants, pubs, hotels, independent farm shops and delicatessens. Many of these are small businesses, located in rural Hampshire. CPRE (Campaign to Protect Rural England) Hampshire is a local charity dedicated to the needs of the Hampshire community, whose mission is to "stand up for the Hampshire countryside". Both Hampshire Fare and CPRE Hampshire endeavour to support and promote the rural business community and actively promote local food and farming initiatives, providing potential synergy to work together.

Hampshire Fare Chairman Mike Wright said:
"Our strategic partnerships are all about working with organisations that have similar goals to those of Hampshire Fare to benefit the county as a whole and the businesses that we jointly represent. Working in alliance with CPRE Hampshire means that together we have a stronger voice".
CPRE Hampshire Chairman Christopher Napier said:
"We want a beautiful, diverse and living countryside that everyone can value and enjoy. CPRE Hampshire campaigns for the best solutions for our countryside - listening to the needs of local communities whilst respecting our Hampshire heritage. Local food is good for farmers, good for producers, good for consumers and good for the countryside. As a strategic partner of Hampshire Fare, we'll seek to promote the other's activities to our respective members and general public".
