CPRE Alton Show report and invitation to review response to Holybourne Village Plan

The Campaign to Protect Rural England, East Hampshire Group braved the weather to attend the Alton Show on Sunday 6th July and they invited the Alton Town Design Statement Team, the Greening of Alton and Holybourne Campaign and Chawton House Library to join them on the stand.

The stand attracted many visitors and all received a warm welcome on such a wet and blustery day. It was good to see so many current members and to recruit new members to join the campaign and stand up for the countryside.

As well as general countryside matters a great deal of interest was shown in the Chawton House Library display with a great number of people asking for leaflets which meant that they had a successful day as well. CPRE's stand also featured an invitation to Holybourne village hall where villagers can see and hear about the response to the questionnaire for the Holybourne Village Plan. The Hall is open for the village plan verification on Saturday 19th July from 10am to 12.30pm; and on Wednesday evening, 23rd July from 7.30pm-9.00pm.
