Free bus laid on for CPRE's Countryside Day

A new fun day in the Countryside is being organised by the Campaign to Protect Rural England, and a free bus has been arranged to take people from Portsmouth City Centre (The Hard) out to the Queen Elizabeth Country Park on the A3 near Petersfield. CPRE's Countryside Day runs from 11.30 am to 4.00pm on Sunday, 11th May.

The free bus will run from the Hard in Portsmouth, leaving at 11.00am and again at 1.30pm; via Queen's Street and Commercial Road, to the Queen Elizabeth Country Park. There will be two return bus trips from the Park along the same route back to the Hard at 1.00pm and 4.00pm. For further details please telephone 01962 843655 or log on to www.cprehampshire.org.uk.

There will be a wealth of activities at the Countryside Day such as orienteering, fly-fishing, juggling and wilderness skills, laser clay pigeon shooting, hawking displays and football fun. Competition prizes include family tickets to play cricket at South Winchester golf course, visit Finkley Down Farm in Andover and to the New Forest Show in July.
