Countryside campaigners' newsletter published
The 2008 newsletter has been published by the Campaign to Protect Rural England's Hampshire branch. It was decided to make the publication annual to save costs, and this issue of the newsletter has 24 pages full of information about campaigning successes and current challenges facing the countryside in every corner of Hampshire. Topical campaign issues include the South East Plan, Local Development Frameworks, Fly-tipping and litter, as well as the South Downs National Park. Details of interesting country walks and educational talks, such as farm visits and the AGM to be held in April at the Marwell Hotel, are given in the newsletter. Many volunteer opportunities are available for those who wish to become involved and feel they can help the two branch administrative employees and voluntary committees around the county. For a hard copy of the newsletter, please telephone 01962 843655. An electronic PDF version is available by visiting www.cprehampshire.org.uk. - Ends - CPRE/H/130 The Campaign to Protect Rural England, Hampshire Branch (CPRE Hampshire) is a registered charity and a branch of the national CPRE charity.
