Farming Today - A Different Approach
The Test Valley Group of the CPRE (Campaign to Protect Rural England) is hosting its annual lecture in Longstock Village Hall on Friday 7th March commencing at 7.30pm. The Mayor of Test Valley, Councillor Pam Mutton and her Consort will be there as guests of honour. The speaker this year is a farmer, Simon Preece, who combines humour and passion in talking about farming, animal welfare and the environment. His talk is entitled 'Traditional Farming in a Modern World' or as he would say "a funny way to make a living". As well as offering insights into the work of a dedicated farmer he has a wealth of fascinating tales about everyday life on the farm. The meeting is open to the public from 7pm when light refreshments will be available. For all enquiries please contact either John Cooper on 01264 359911 or Pam Mason at Branch Office on 01962 843655 or admin@cprehampshire.org.uk. - Ends - CPRE/H/123 The Campaign to Protect Rural England, Hampshire Branch (CPRE Hampshire) is a registered charity and a branch of the national CPRE charity.
