CPRE Hampshire is delighted to announce a new sponsor for its long-running and successful Countryside Awards scheme - Forest Holidays.

A previous Finalist and Winner of the Countryside Awards, Forest Holidays has now taken a seat at the judging table as they take over the sponsorship of the Young People's category for the next three years.

Now in their 12th year, the awards run by the Hampshire branch of national charity CPRE, the Campaign to Protect Rural England, celebrate a beautiful, diverse and living countryside that everyone can value and enjoy.

CPRE Hampshire’s Chief Executive, Charlee Bennett said: “I am delighted that Forest Holidays will be sponsoring the Countryside Awards. We've been following them since their Blackwood Forest site won the Rural Enterprise category in 2014 and we're excited to have them on the awards team. We're especially looking forward to them bringing their experience as winners to the organisation, publicising and judging of the awards.”

Katie Brothers, General Manager at Forest Holidays and new awards judge said: “After being a winner and a finalist at the CPRE Awards this year we are delighted to be sponsoring the Young People Award. At Forest Holidays we support local communities and tourism and work closely with the Forestry Commission to protect our forests. We are really excited to tie this in with CPRE Hampshire and visit the exciting projects in the Young People category. ”

The Southern Co-operative continues both its lead sponsorship of the awards and sponsors the Community and Voluntary award. Hildon and Hastoe enter their second year as sponsors of the Rural Enterprise and Making Places categories.
