Hart & Rushmoor District Group

Hart & Rushmoor District Group has undergone some changes, particularly with the retirement of Janet Martin, its long-standing chairman. She brought vast experience, having chaired many other groups and organisations over the past 20 years, latterly as the first chairman of Hart District Council's Local Strategic Partnership (LSP), a major plank in today's approach to involving the community in local government.

Hugh Sheppard is now Chairman, with Philip Todd as Hon. Secretary and Chairman of the planning sub-committee. Hugh is also a County Branch Trustee and Vice Chairman, with Lindsay Toomer as the District Group's second trustee and treasurer.

Following its successful visit to the Waitrose Estate at Leckford last year, a garden party and a table-top sale is in prospect for 2007; further details in the District Group Newsletter.
