Bob Wren volunteering at event Bob Wren volunteering at event

We rely on the support and dedication of our wonderful volunteers. These roles can be varied and diverse, from Trustees, planning experts and campaigners, to event fundraisers, leaflet delivery and admin support. Every single one of our volunteers are vital to our continued success in ensuring our countryside is protected.  But what might you get out of volunteering for us at CPRE Hampshire?

We have been talking to our volunteers about the work they do and why they give so much of their time to CPRE Hampshire.

Bob Wren is a relative new-comer to CPRE Hampshire, having joined us in 2017 – however he is already an invaluable member of the office team and part of the Test Valley District Group.

He dedicates lots of his free time to these worthy causes and interests. We are incredibly lucky to have Bob in one of our Helping Hands roles – volunteering at our events, fundraising activities and in the office.

Bob is always self-deprecating about the contribution he makes to the charity. He said: ‘I think of myself as a regional office "gofer" and assist where required, with such things as mailshots and events, all very much on a practical level. I do it because I'm proud of my County and my local town heritage and hope to contribute in some small way in retaining and progressing balance for our future (including future generations).’

Thanks to Bob for sharing his story.

We are always looking for more volunteers to join us, we are currently looking for new volunteers in our Eyes and Ears and Helping Hands (taking on a volunteer role like Bob) programmes, so please do complete the form and look through our volunteer pack – we’ll contact you within a week of receiving your details.
