Social & Fundraising Group

Like any charity, fundraising and promotion are key to the success of CPRE Hampshire. We must promote the work of the charity, whilst also securing the funding to continue. These activities can be anything from running a raffle, to manning a stall at an event, to securing funding - all of these activities support the charity.

The group's main function is to support CPRE Hampshire activities in such aspects as fundraising, social events, membership etc. The tasks of this group will be extremely varied and will offer a lot of flexibility. It is not expected that every person will be involved in every activity. We hope to get a large number of volunteers, meaning that you can get involved in as much as you wish and when you are able to do so.

The FSG activities include:

  • Organise/ coordinate events (organise, help promote event, be involved on the day, bake a cake!)
  • Support branch office with its annual 'Walks and Talks Programme' - find local contacts/ places to visit, organise a visit, design an event, lead a walk
  • Grant applications - use a database to select potential grant givers, write a simple application
  • Promotional events - produce display presentations, man a stall, give a talk or a presentation
  • Newsletter - (write an article, take a picture, stuff envelopes

Volunteering will be very much 'ad-hoc' and most of the work will be done by sub-groups working on a particular activity.
