Disposing of Asbestos

All asbestos waste is classed as hazardous waste. There are two types of asbestos, cement bonded asbestos and fibrous (unbonded) asbestos. Cement bonded asbestos can be disposed of at four Household Waste recycling centres in Hampshire (see below for details). Fibrous asbestos should only be handled by licensed specialist contractors.
