Hampshire Hedgerow Project

Since 2005, CPRE Hampshire has been endeavouring to continue with the Hampshire Hedgerow Survey, but unfortunately we have been thwarted at every attempt to achieve appropriate funding for the project. You will see from the Annual Accounts that we do not have the funds to run a project of this nature from our own resources, so it is with great reluctance that we have decided to shelve this particular project.

However, we are continuing to apply for funding from Charitable Trusts, and if we are successful in receiving sufficient grant money towards a specific project, we hope to instigate a new project which entails surveying Veteran Trees. This project would also have the benefit of full technical support from the Hampshire Biodiversity Information Centre (HBIC), who would store the information gathered on a national database.
