2010 Awards
Nominations for the 2010 Countryside and Design Awards closed on 21st March 2010. Watch this space for details of the winners. are now open.In the meantime, you might start considering projects for the 2011 awards. The scheme, which runs annually, consists of three categories in which projects which improve the Hampshire environment can be nominated to win a CPRE award. The award categories are entitled Schools, Voluntary and Community, and Public Sector and Business. To be eligible for nominations, projects must be within Hampshire, and have been completed within two years of the entry deadline which will be in March 2011. Scroll down for more details of the categories and criteria. CPRE Hampshire made seven awards in 2009. Speaking about the year's awards Becky French said: "CPRE has been particularly impressed by both the quality and diversity of this year's entries. We have awarded a range of projects, from very different organisations and groups and we feel this really shows the environmental commitment of our Hampshire community. We look forward to receiving applications for the 2009/ 2010 awards. The winners were:

Public Sector and Business Category The public sector and business category is open to business and council sector activities affecting the rural environment in Hampshire. Evidence will need to show tangible progress towards tackling one or more of the core CPRE issues. These include:

The CPRE is very much in favour of the promotion of local foods, and Hampshire Fare is a prominent organisation representing local food producers.
