Planning and Policy Group

The Planning and Policy Group (PPG) is a sub-committee of CPRE Hampshire's Executive Committee.

Overall aim

The Group, made up of some 25 volunteers and staff members, works to further the aims and objectives of the Branch and of CPRE National Office. It leads the drive for the protection and enhancement of the countryside of Hampshire, particularly the beauty of the landscape and settlements, sustainable development, tranquillity, sustainability of farming, production of local foods and other rural attributes, working together as appropriate with the district groups, and with external environmental bodies operating within Hampshire on matters of common interest.

Areas of work

As well as planning, the Group covers transport and aviation, farming and local food, minerals and waste, rural economy, energy and water, and other areas referred to it by the Executive Committee.
